Juodkrantė (literally: Black Shore, German: Schwarzort [Black Place]) with permanent population of about 720 people is a quiet Lithuanian seaside resort village located on the Curonian Spit. A nice hill “Burr Oaks” was named in memory of hang-glider man Vern. A hill is a perfect place for gliding (para/hang) which is few km from at St. Joseph and ~70km from Kansas City.

Arminas Petrauskas – 20.8.2009 · 92.38 km

Few minutes ago Arminas Petrauskas just registered his today flight which is 92.38 km.
According to Arminas the day was just perfect but the wind was too strong for triangle.
The start point held at Birštonas and he landed near to the Belarus border (Eišiškės). Whole route (projection trace) was ~142km:

What’s go in on at US these days? Salt Lake City, Utah? US Paragliding Nationals XC championship is already in middle. August 16 – 22 Sunday through Saturday (7 possible flying days!).
